Affiliate Money Maker

I have to report one more Vigrx Plus sale - my 7th sale of this product over all the time I’ve been promoting it (approximately 3 months).  This is still the Spanish speaking market, and still the first-time customer. I’ve yet to see the returning customers getting their refill orders - but when I do this will be the beginning of the truly passive income That’s where the real beauty of LEC and other similar affiliate programs is - the biggest difficulty is in getting started,  but once you got the ball rolling those sales will just be happening without much effort on your part.

As for conversion rates: I have previously reported my progress with improving conversion rates here but that was based on the monthly data. Today I have looked at my total number of clicks vs. total number of sales during the whole period I’ve been working with this product - the current result is 1:231 as opposed to 1:300 I used to have earlier. Well, the key to more sales now is sending the same kind of targeted traffic (or figure out how to make it even more targeted) in even larger volumes.

GenBucks has just announced a new product launch. This new product is called SIZEOMAX and it is a new penis enlargement solution.  GenBucks already offers a number of male enhancement  products  which have gained popularity among customers.

To be honest GenBucks’ overall setup is worse than  that of similar affiliate programs - they have less resources for advertising, their internal interface for affiliates is more difficult to navigate (or maybe I’m just not used to it yet), the news are only available in the affiliate control panel (I have emailed the affiliate manager to ask whether it’s just something in my settings or the option of getting news as a newsletter by email is simply not available) - but with the weekly payouts and convenient payment methods, why not give them a try.

Besides the English version of Sizeomax, German and Spanish versions are also available which makes it a nice opportunity for those affiliates who want to work with the international markets.

In addition to the downline signup I’ve had earlier today in LEC, I just got a commission notification! This is my third VigRX Plus sale this month - and again it’s the Spanish version! Don’t say I didn’t tell you about the benefits of playing in the international markets!

I am very pleased to discover that my conversion rates for the Spanish VigRX Plus site have improved, too - I used to have them in the range of approximately 1:300, currently they are at 1:106. I must be sending more targeted traffic lately! Well, that’s what you call the learning curve

This blog has been started by me for several purposes:

• sharing my own experience as an affiliate
• reviewing different affiliate programs to help people choose the best programs to promote
• sharing different money making tips with other affiliates
• and of course building my own downline.

My readers can judge for themselves how well I am coping so far with program reviews and sharing tips - as for building the downline, I thought I’d share what I got to so far.

Here are the downline affiliate signups I got up to today:

• WorldNiche - 1 signup
• Leading Edge Cash - 3 signups
• MoreNiche - 2 signups
• JoeBucks - 1 signup
• GenBucks - 1 signup
• MagnaRX Cash - 2 signups (one of which I actually “inherited” from LEC when the program was just launched)

I consider these results pretty good, taking into account that my main source of downline building traffic is this blog which is just a month old now. I’ve only been participating in one affiliate forum so far - I need to be doing more, I know, just haven’t had the time yet.

However, just getting people to sign up as your downline is not enough. GenBucks pays $1 for each downline signup. MoreNiche offers several options of monetizing downline signups - from a one-time fee of $30 for each affiliate in your downline who makes at least 1 sale to percentage of your downline sales down to the 4th tire - that one is the most profitable option potentially so I tend to use that one with them. In any case, most affiliate programs I work with will pay certain percentage of sales in your downline - which can build you a nice passive income but to achieve that, your downline needs to be making sales. I haven’t had a single downline sale yet.

It is always nice for an affiliate to know that the affiliate program you are promoting tries to improve its sites in order to increase the conversion rates. The better the conversion rates are, the more profit affiliates can get for their efforts. Well, here are the great news: MoreNiche has just reported an increase of conversion rates for two of its sites as a result of their redesign.

Penis Health has been redesigned just a couple weeks ago but the results can already be seen. Penis Health is a penis enhancement program that consists of a member site and a DVD. Due to the changes of the site that have been implemented, the conversion rate has gone up to 1:40 for very targeted traffic. With commissions ranging from $55 to $100, it’s a nice affiliate money maker and you can’t miss it.

Another recently redesigned site is Proactol. Proactol is a weight loss product that I have previously reviewed. Now’s the time to look at the results of its redesign:

• Increased average order volume - up to $200 (which of course means higher commission volume for you as affiliate)
• Improved conversion rates: some affiliates report current conversion rates of 1:27 or even 1:15, and affiliate managers tell me that one especially successful affiliate with super targeted traffic who used to get 1:31 conversion rates with the old version of the site is now hitting an incredible 1:3 rate - now THAT’s impressive!

I promised here I would post a little tutorial about using Google Base for affiliate marketing so here goes.

GoogleBase is Google’s service where users can offer their products, services, information and so on. It enjoys a tremendous amount of traffic so it only makes sense to use it for promoting your affiliate programs and getting some extra traffic and sales from it.

First thing you need is a Google account. If you don’t have one it only takes a couple minutes to register. Sign in with this account to Google Base. Once logged in, you will see the category listings for all the existing items posted to Google Base by all other users and three options you can use for posting your own items: one at a time, bulk or API. You mot likely will want to create your listings one at a time so select this option.

In the next screen, choose the item type you want to post - in our case, Products. Fill out all the fields applicable to your product. You can delete the fields you don’t need or add new fields for whatever you want to have in your product listing. You can even upload a picture of your product - this is a good idea as products with pictures tend to attract attention of potential shoppers better. Be sure to provide the URL - if you have your won site link to it, if not you can use your affiliate link, Google doesn’t seem to mind it. The description allows you to add HTML code so you can add your link right in the description field along with the features of your product you want to write about. Don’t write too much, the purpose of this listing is not to sell directly but to inform the visitors of the product, spark their interest in it and make them click on to your site to buy it there. Be sure to provide a very descriptive title for your listing as this is what will help your potential customers find your listing.

Once your product listing is ready you can eitehr save it as a draft or publish it. It only takes a few minutes for each item to be approved and published. But keep in mind that many item types can only be listed for a limited amount of time - e.g. your product listing will only be displayed for 30 days after which you will have to re-post it if you still want your offer showing up in Google Base.

Another kind of item you can benefit from is “News and Articles” - this one does not expire ever so once posted it will stay there. If you have an article on your site about the product youa re promoting, you can create an item in Google Base linked to that article and rip the benefits of additional traffic.

In your account, you get to see what items you have posted, when, when they are expiring and how many page views and clicks they got so far. For example, one of the listings I have created got 4 page views on the same day it was published - pretty good isn’t it?

An alternative to using Google Base that comes to mind is EBay - it is huge and gets as much traffic as Google Base, with the additional benefit of it being older and more familiar to online shoppers than Google Base. I haven’t personally tried using it for promoting my affiliate products but I see a lot of people doing it so it’s definitely worth a try.

Woke up this morning to find another email notifying me of a sale I’ve just made - this time, it is ProSolution Gel at WorldNiche! Just yesterday, I’ve been looking at the conversion rates for different WN sites published at WorldNiche affiliate forum - and the conversion rates for Prosolution Gel site were stated as 1:67. My conversion rates for it so far are 1:49 - but my traffic is pretty targeted while those WN conversion stats are said to be for any kind of traffic including untargeted. Well, let’s see if my current conversion rate sticks. Oh and did I say it is still a 60% commission? We still have time till July 4 to benefit from the highest commission I’ve ever seen in this industry.

What this sale did teach me is that with WorldNiche programs, you absolutely HAVE to use tracking codes if you wish to analyze later on where your sales come from. That is, if you are using more than one banner or link or more than one site, of course. Which I do. I had this product mentioned on this blog, on one more site of mine, and in multiple other locations including even GoogleBase (I need to do a post about using Google Base for affiliate marketing). My mistake - these links didn’t have a tracking code on them. When I analyzed whatever stats are available to me, I have seen traffic from different sources. The final sale, however, happened when someone just came to the Pro Solution Gel site directly - but that means they have previously visited it coming from one of my links and they had my affiliate cookie on their computer - this is how this sale became possible.
