Affiliate Money Maker

A Blog about Making Money as an Affiliate Marketer

1 Button To Wifi - a New Product to Promote and a New Tool!

Leading Edge Cash has just introduced a new product for its affiliates to promote - 1 Button To Wifi.

This is a way to save greatly on long distance calls without the limitations of other VoIP phones you’ve probably heard about so far. The user registers on the product site, buys the device, it is shipped to him for free, then easily connected to an existing DSL Internat cable. After this, all they have to do is press one button on any phone they’d like to use to make their calls - and their phone connects to the device from anywhere they are at the moment and they can dial any number they wish. The difference in costs is enormous, the comfort is there and there are tons of additional features such as free calls between the network users and a lot more. The users are only charged for the actual calls they make.

1 Button To Wifi is a great new opportunity to make money with as an affiliate marketer, but  it is also a great tool for your affiliate business. I as an affiliate often need to contact the affiliate managers, business partners and so on - and doing it by phone is so much faster than by email or waiting till the person gets online in a messaging client. I will absolutely be getting me this device to save on my phone costs.
If you also wish to buy it go ahead and do so at the 1 Button To WiFi site, and if you wish to offer this great product to your site visitors and get paid for it register as an affiliate with LEC and get your links.

Something to Be Aware of If Using PPC

If you’re an affiliate using pay-per-click advertising to drive traffic to your landing pages, this is something you will want to take notice of. I’ve come across this post via Search Engine Land mention about MSN rejecting a Spanish language ad for US audience:

Although Google made it easy for us to set up advertising campaigns, Microsoft apparently does not want business from Latinos in the US. They rejected all of QuieroLatino’s ads and sent us a shocking explanation:

The reason for the disapproval is because of the use of a foreign language on the landing page. You are using the English US distribution channel and targeting the US and so you must use only the English language on the landing page.

This is really weird of Microsoft. I personally work a lot with affiliate offers in different languages, I love working with offers for non-English speaking customers, I’ve had so much success in the Spanish speaking market and I must tell you that about 1/3 of all sales I’ve made on my Spanish landing pages came from US-based customers. Now, I work primarily with organic traffic but I was considering using PPC… Now evidently Microsoft won’t be my advertiser of choice!

My Fax by Email Quest

As an affiliate, I need to fax documents every now and then. Not often enough to buy a fax machine, but still. Every time I sign up with an affiliate program, they will normally ask me to fill out and fax them a tax form. If you’re a home-based affiliate marketer without all the traditional office equipment, you will find this story useful.

You may have heard about these services that will help you send faxes right off your computer - so have I. I had no idea whether these services are free or paid - and if they are paid of course I wanted to make sure they actually work and not just charge me, so a free trial would have been really handy. At first, I remembered that a friend of mine had once mentioned efax.com - so naturally my first choice was to go look at them.

Well, I must tell you efax.com absolutely SUCKS!  They do have a free trial, but here’s what happened. I registered a trial account with them and everything seemed fine so I thought I’d try faxing my documents the next day. Not so easy! The next day I signed in only to find out they didn’t like my credit card.  I tried two more cards  (all three were used to pay in multiple other places - no problem ever) - no luck again. Their support was absolutely useless as well so I just demanded that they close my account and went on to look further.

I headed to Google and ran a quick search. Google returned  almost 9 million results for “send a fax by email” - wow that’s impressive. What have we got here?

The first one was TPC Fax (tpc.int) - a site last updated in 2001. You see, in the old days of non-monetized Internet there was a community initiative to support sending faxes by email through privately operated printer servers. This was a free community service supported exclusively by good will of people participating in this project. Well that was a long time ago. I don’t know how reliable or widespread it was, but currently it is not working any more.

Digging through a bunch of FAQ’s and equally old sites that are of no use any longer,  next I got to trustfax.com - they have a free trial as well, but their free trial outgoing faxes are watermarked. Not good, I thought.

Next one I checked was interfax.net - this one has got no free trial. Having had enough bad experience by now, I didn’t risk signing up with a service that I couldn’t test first.

MaxEmail Fax to Email ServicesNext site I found was maxemail.com - and luckily my search was over here! They let you send 5 trial faxes during the 30-day trial period. Their support is very friendly and personal. You get email confirmations for the faxes you send. I have sent 3 faxes so far and they were all successful. I am now considering upgrading to a paid plan with them. I am really happy about their service.

So if you’re looking for a cost-efficient and reliable solution to fax documents, why not give MaxEmail a try.

MarketHealth International Offers Update

Recently I have posted about what I like and dislike about MarketHealth (former JoeBucks) and one of the negative points was the difficulty of choosing international non-English language offers. I have also mentioned that they were very responsive and expressed hope that gradually they would improve their interface and make their affiliates more comfortable.

Well, they lived up to my expectations! It was only a few days after my feedback was sent to them that Gary of MarketHealth has contacted me asking to provide my opinion on the new version of their offers page. Wow - that was impressive! So I had a look and provided my feedback again. While the new version was better in regards of choosing the offers in different language, I still thought it lacked the clarity and ease of navigation and told Gary about it. A few more days later, he wrote back to me and asked me to look again at the version they tweaked based on my feedback. Lo and behold - this new one is perfect! Thanks MarketHealth for listening to your affiliates. Now we can clearly see that you have affiliate offers in:

  • English
  • Chinese
  • Dutch
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
  • and Swedish

and they are all clearly sorted by product category! An international affiliate dream come true.

Hence, my dear fellow affiliates, if you are in health and beauty niche and looking for international offers, you should check out the new offers page over at MarketHealth.com.

Affiliate Earnings Update: Record Downline Sales

I have very good news: I just got two downline sales within 24 hours! Both happened in Leading Edge Cash and were brought by the same affiliate. Earlier this month I had one more downline sale in LEC brought by the same affiliate. This affiliate has only joined in November last year and already brought me 3 downline sales within just one month! And LEC is the second affiliate program where I get downline sales. What’s even more interesting is that he is selling products I am not working with so he is not even my direct competition (to further prove my point I made here). Building your downline definitely pays, and I need to make a post about downline building tips some time - I was going to for a long time now but never got to do it.

Other news: I have recently joined several interesting affiliate programs and will be reviewing them as soon as I figure out all their pros and cons so keep an eye on my blog.

Market Health Improves Aff Stats and What It Means to Affiliates

MarketHealth has just added additional information to affiliate stats for its affiliates. I have recently posted about the changes going on at MarketHealth and noted how open they are to feedback from their affiliates - and as if to prove my point, they have just improved the data the affiliates see in their stats. Besides the sales and unique clicks we now can see page views info.

What is this info useful for? It can help you diagnose what is going on with your traffic. Depending on the market, your landing page and how well you presell the product and the landing page of the affiliate offer you’re sending your traffic to, people eitehr buy the product right away or browse around the product site for more info that would persuade them to buy it. If you see a lot of page views compared to the unique visitors number and little sales this most likely means that:

  • either you have to make your  landing page more clear about the nature of the offer so that you send higher quality traffic to the affiliate product page
  • or you might want to try sending your visitor to a different page on the product site (i.e. people cannot find what they are looking for)

If you see little page views (e.g. 1 unique visitor - 1 page view) and no sales that means you’re sending low quality traffic to the product page and people are not looking to buy your product. As soon as they realize what is really being offered they leave.

So the page views info analyzed along with other information serves as an indicator of the quality of your traffic. Pay attention to it and it will help you identify possible problems and maximize your profits.

JoeBucks Becomes MarketHealth

With the beginning of the new year 2008, JoeBucks has changed its name to MarketHealth. I’ve been an affiliate with them for a while though haven’t put much effort into marketing their offers but intend to spend more of my time on them.

That being said, I guess it makes sense to do a review of this program as I never have done it yet.

What I like about MarketHealth (and I believe other affiliates will like as well):

  • a wide range of health and beauty related offers - over 50 at the time of this writing
  • convenient payment methods - including money transfers to a debit card (Payoneer) you can register through them
  • a wide range of marketing materials for all sites and offers
  • some offers are available in different languages, such as Italian, French, German Chinese, Dutch and Spanish (those who know me know I’m into international affiliate markets with their lower competition levels)
  • easy to make money even for people new to affiliate marketing - thanks to the HerbalBiz program
  • free hosting for sites promoting MarketHealth offers
  • the program is two-tier (of course!)
  • for affiliates generating lots of sales special extra lucrative conditions apply
  • affiliate managers are nice and their response time is very good
  • according to the testimonials, the program is endorsed by many authority figures in Web marketing, such as Todd Friesen a.k.a. Oilman and Greg Boser.

What I do not like about MarketHealth:

  • Finding offers in languages other than English is not as straightforward as I’d like it to be
  • Stats are not as detailed as I’d like them to be - e.g. it’s not very easy to track your referrals - however, if you set up a campaign for each banner and site you use they will be tracked. I guess PPC people will like this setup tho.

Luckily, these guys are open to feedback and invite it even - when they were going to launch the new site they asked affiliates about their opinions about it. So given some time, hopefully they will improve these above issues as well.

So what better way to start the new year than add more affiliate offers to your affiliate sites and make more cash? If you are looking for affiliate programs in the beauty and health market you must give MarketHealth a try.

International Affiliates: New Translated Sites Launched!

VigRX Plus
Good news for all the international affiliates: Leading Edge Cash has just launched 3 more translated web sites for VigRX Plus. The latest additions are the German VigRX Plus, Japanese VigRX Plus and Russian VigRX Plus.

Is this a good opportunity for the affiliates out there?  Let’s see:

Google.de:  only 22,500 results for VigRX Plus in German. Potential market? Germany, Switzerland, Austria, people using the Internet in German from elsewhere.

Google.jp: only 20,500 results for VigRX Plus in Japanese - and Japan is surely a nice, large and profitable market to work with.

Google.ru: this is totally incredible - only  822 results for VigRX Plus in Russian! And the market is really huge - not only Russia itself but many former Soviet Union republics where people speak Russian as well - enormous really!

So if this all has persuaded and inspired you, you you might want to have another look at my post about succeeding in an international market as an affiliate and get to work. In case you have not yet registered as an affiliate with LEC go ahead and do it now - and feel free to ask me any questions, I will happily share my experience with you. Good luck!
