Affiliate Earnings Update: My First ClickKingdom Sale
Today I’ve made my first sale in ClickKingdom, an affiliate program I’ve been registered in for a while already but never worked with seriously. I’ve had a site built some time ago and it was, well, basically just sitting out there generating some minor traffic. Anyways, the conversions so far seem pretty nice (1:4) for the product I’ve sold which is a breast enlargement solution. Of course with just one sale it does not mean much yet and it’s too early to make any judgements about conversion levels really - but the very fact that it sells makes me consider putting more effort into this program.
Since I started talking about ClickKingdom, I might as well review it. It’s a two-tier affiliate program that has a range of products from beauty, health and skin care to security software. They have good looking and probably nicely converting sites and a stunningly beautiful reports interface for the affiliates. They send you sale notifications by email based on your preferences. Their commissions reach 50-60% for some of the products. They have great offers that are bound to increase the sales (e.g. “get 3 for the price of 2″ and the like). They have tools for building both organic and PPC links. They even have a wholesale program for retail stores. Seems like a list of solely positive features - there must be something wrong, right? I am normally quite picky and rarely like everything - what do I dislike about ClickKingdom?
A bunch of things, actually. First: they only pay either through PayPal or check - and I am kinda spoiled by WorldNiche and MoreNiche’s payments to my ePassporte card which is so much handier. Second: the beautiful reports are slow as hell and lack some info I’d love to see in an affiliate programs reports - e.g. referral URLs. Third: a captcha on the contact form that does not even work - aarrrrggghhhh! Fourth: it takes some poking around to figure out the structure of all their products and sites as many products are sold off the same site and some products are sold off more than one site. Fifth: they have a blog which has been gradually declining since 2006 with less and less regular posts until the blog got abandoned completely.
How about the support level? Well, they do not have “personalized” affiliate managers that I know of (like LEC or MoreNiche do) and would be able to message any time I have a question, but they do send you at least the confirmation that they got your message with a promice to reply within 24 hours on business days but since I have only sent them a message once and that was about 15 minutes ago I would have to wait and see before I can say anyting about their support quality.
Have you had any experience with ClickKingdom? Any feedback on conversion rates or payments or anything else worth knowing? Feel free to leave a comment.
